  In 2007 Schuitema changed the supply chain for fresh packed vegetables and fruits from a warehouse system towards a cross dock system. In this supply chain project the impact of the chain was determined on the quality of the product. Also was taken into the account the total cost of the supply chain. Research was done on time and temperature effects on the productgroup. This resulted in a new supply chain for Schuitema which led to the best possible fresh goods in store for consumers.
