I have had the pleasure of working with Jelena at Hack for LA since September 2022. Jelena has been a major asset to the Food Oasis project since she joined, proactively working on key problems and gaps in research for the UX team. She conveys her enthusiasm for UX in an extremely capable and professional manner through her quick mastery of new skills, conversations, written documents, and presentations to the group. As Jelena’s teammate, I have also enjoyed her ability to tackle challenges collaboratively, in conversations as well as asynchronous work. Jelena and I worked collaboratively with designers and developers on a self-updating mechanism that will likely slash volunteer time by 50%. I enthusiastically recommend Jelena for any project that requires positive teamwork, professionalism, and tactful and actionable research insights.
