Bio
Rémi Rousseau
Jeff's talent and passion have been an extremely important asset for Mimesys and later when the company got acquired, for Magic Leap. He was junior at the time but his skills and interest for the VR/AR field were already visible in his meticulously crafted student projects. He had the daunting task to replace a senior Unity programmer as the new lead Unity dev for our collaboration application in a high pressure start-up environment, and boy did he live up to the task. He impressed the team from the start by his ability to learn and improve his skills by surpassing expectations. Jeff was also our emblematic "demo guy" ; as a hologram, he was interacting with the customers and various VIPs willing to try the future ; he showed a great ability to interact and impress this hard crowd to please. Jeff is greatly skilled on AR and VR UX/UI. He is a true world expert in the field, leveraging the passion he has for this relatively new domain with the incredible hands-on experience he had on building our product. Jeff has been to the future and can tell you what it’s like there. It has been a great privilege to work with him these past years.

Jeff's biggest asset is his willingness to learn. He is always open to listen to and learn from others and not afraid to ask for help. When he joined Mimesys he got thrown into the deep by being expected to be an instant senior Unity developer and rewrite our VR application for AR and VR practically from scratch. From the start it was clear that this was an enormous task, so the pressure was high the whole time, but he delivered. The passion he has for VR and AR is clear by the fact that he will go beyond the line of duty to get a detail to his liking, without letting it jeopardize the bigger scope of the project. Not only is he an excellent and fast learning developer, he also has the necessary people skills and drive to sell ideas or products. He was our go-to demo person before the Magic Leap acquisition because of how naturally he communicates with everyone he interacts with.
