I've worked with many software engineers over the years. I've been very lucky to work with several incredible ones. With all due respect to the others, Jeffrey is the best I've ever seen. I enjoyed working with Jeffrey so much that… I haven't been able to stop (we still continue to work on side projects whenever possible). Jeffrey is a listener. He will meticulously listen to everything a stakeholder can offer about a product or feature. He will remain in constant contact through the development process. And he will build you exactly what you want—no, exactly what you NEED. He's not just going to work off a spec. He'll offer suggestions and ask you questions you never asked yourself. Lots of people can code. Not many will get to the core of the problem you're trying to solve like Jeffrey. He's the best and you want him building your product.

Jeffrey's knowledge and judgement have made him my goto engineer when I need a second pair of eyes, a sanity check, or a gut feeling about how to approach a problem. Jeffrey has superior knowledge of the technologies we use and a wonderful ability to get to the heart of the matter quickly. Beyond Jeffrey's good engineering instincts, he also uses his judgment to make good decisions about how to spend his time. It's difficult to know when to invest in infrastructure to solve problems and when to just finish the job at hand and not get sidetracked. Jeffrey has consistently found the right balance here, making huge improvements to our internal tools while not getting lost in the woods of axe-sharpening. Jeffrey is a pleasure to work with and has a wonderful attitude. He has an amazing willingness to throw himself into the thorniest of problems, the things that need to get done but are clearly being avoided because they're not going to be fun or easy. To mangle Jack Nicholson from As Good as it Gets, "He makes me want to be a better engineer."

Served as Senior Front-end Engineer and then as Acting Tech Lead for the Social Media application. Helped build and maintain features around Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and LinkedIn sharing. Helped build pre-v1 release of the HubSpot Ads product. 3-time recipient of quarterly peer bonuses that were awarded for my after-hours efforts to slim down the core JS payload and improve performance across the entire suite of HubSpot apps. Built MVPs for Boston-area startups and worked as staff augmentation for more established businesses. I conducted 1:1's, mentored, paired, shipped some cool things, and learned. Highlights include building the first version of PlateJoy. Built MVPs for Boston-area startups and worked as staff augmentation for more established businesses.
