I was assigned as the Supervisor of the Criminal Warrants and Sexual Offender Registration Unit. This included providing supervision, mentorship, and leadership for the Deputies and the Contractor assigned to the unit. My duties also continued to include responding to and investigating criminal cases involving Sex Offender Violations.This unit is responsible for the entry of criminal warrants, both from within Montgomery County and out of county criminal warrants; as well as service of criminal arrest warrants within our jurisdiction and performing extraditions to return defendants back to Montgomery County. We are also responsible for registering and tracking of all registered sex offenders under County supervision; as well as investigation and prosecuting of any violations of the sex offender law in the county's jurisdiction. Criminal Investigator / Supervisor Sex Offender Registry Unit

This unit formed in 2004 in response to a change in Tenneesse’s Sex Offender Law when I developed and supervised the agencies Sex Offender Registration program. I was responsible for registering and tracking of all registered sex offenders under County supervision; as well as investigation and prosecuting of any violations of the sex offender law in the county's jurisdiction. I was on-call to assist both the Internet Crimes Against Children and Crimes Against Children Investigators as needed. This included in person crimes act well as internet related investigations. These duties also included drafting, reviewing, and executing search warrants in support of investigations. I assisted the United States Marshals Service in support of federal prosecutions of Sex Offender violations , as well as investigations and arrests of federal fugitives. I was also tasked with conducting background investigations of prospective employees; including database checks, interviews of references and previous employers, and initial interviews with the applicants.
