In 1998 I was given additional responsibility for Ecolab's real estate activities as well as engineering. After interviewing several firms, United Properties was selected to handle the corporate real estate needs based on the skills and expertise demonstrated by Jeff. During the next seven years, Jeff and the United Properties team handled these needs very well and taught me the skills needed to effectively represent Ecolab's real estate activities. The largest transaction Jeff and his team assisted with was the acquisition of a 500,000 square foot building on 90 acres in Eagan, MN. With the assistance of Jeff and his team, Ecolab purchased the site for significantly less than book value. The acquisition was very sucessful as it now serves as Ecolab's corporate RDE, information technology and data center, as well as providing office space for over 1,000 associates.
