  I started with Charitable Impact as their first employee at the Foundation. Working there gave me an insight into a type of technology start-up, it helped me cut my teeth on business development and customer success, and it helped me see how developers, marketers, founders, and the like all work together (or not at times) to bring a product to market.Core highlights of my time overall at Charitable Impact:💰 I started at the organization when we had just processed $3M in giving. I left the organization when we processed over $100M.☎️ I was the initial client success, then built the first client success team. This gave a unique insight into the world of consumer-facing technology products, how to integrate feedback into the development cycle and what to listen for, and what to ignore.💸 I once had a $15M for our two-person "high net worth" team for the quarter goal (for gifts to close). We hit it. 🖇️ Was the liaison with Benefic Lawyers, high-net-worth clients and the complex tax strategies facilitated through the platform. The education and exposure gave me an understanding of finance, high-touch sales and law that has proven to be invaluable.📈 Worked on SLT to develop early strategy and test go-to-market strategy for an entirely new product and category.🏛️ Rolled out their corporate giving strategy, leading a Business Development team to work with Earls, Bell, Capital Power, Glenmore, Hootsuite and more. As their 1st FT employee, I oversaw sales, product development, and day-to-day operations. We scaled this organization, eventually, to the point that it was processing payments for many of Vancouver's top charities.
