Patriot Systems Technician

Served as the Patriot System Technician for the Patriot Air Defense Artillery firing Battery assigned to FORSCOM, with a mission of conducting worldwide contingency deployments in support of XVIII Airborne Corps. Provided senior level leadership, technical expertise, and oversight of maintenance and operational readiness program consisting of all Patriot Missile System Fire Control and Launcher equipment valued in excess of $50 million, identifying and focusing on key areas to improve operational readiness posture. Oversaw maintenance of all conventional vehicles and support equipment, ensured training in organizational and operator level preventive maintenance, system operations, fault detection, and repair of the Patriot System. Due to surpassing the standard in multiple areas, the Battery's maintenance program was selected to represent the Brigade at XVIII Airborne Corps for the Army Award for Maintenance Excellence. Advised the commander on equipment status, unit readiness, maintenance training, and Class IX expenditures, developing, presenting, and recommending effective and viable solutions and courses of action regarding operational readiness and support issues in all functional areas. Served in Kuwait in support of Operation Southern Watch maintaining Tactical Ballistic Missile and Air Breathing Threat coverage of critical defended assets while stationed at Al Jaber Airbase. Monitored the Patriot Missile system equipment as necessary to detect operator error or system malfunctions and initiating corrective actions in the Federal Republic of Germany. Executed combat operations during Operation Shining Presence (In support of Desert Fox) a combined joint theatre missile defense of Israel, through accurate maintenance execution and strategic planning of deploying support equipment.
