Assignments included legal research, including statutory and caselaw research in Westlaw©, pertaining to variety of commercial law issues; wrote memoranda summarizing research results; researched Requests for Proposals for municipal development projects; researched public procurement law and created PowerPoint presentation for use at seminar; researched status of various types of entities for service of process purposes. Managed projects for research to completion, presenting results for trial use.

Summer Intern

Summer intern at large Chamber of Commerce (15 member municipalities). Systematized Chamber strategy and goals to assist in marketing the Chamber as a tool for strengthening Southern Connecticut's business environment; assisted in planning, set-up, and operation of Chamber events; edited Chamber website, including creating profiles for Chamber members. Participated in sales and governmental policy meetings, as well as various Chamber events and a business exposition. Researched options for and then created a charity fund. Utilized Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as a Chamber organization program, to create more pertinent and useful reports on Chamber members. Worked together with customers, including both individuals and chamber member businesses in providing various Chamber services, such as organizing a fundraiser and a business expo. Cooperated with and led fellow interns in completion of projects involving managing Chamber databases and creating an online presence for the Chamber.
