Our Lady of Good Counsel High School is a private, catholic, co-ed school founded in the tradition of the Xaverian Brothers. The current student population is 1,250 and serves a diverse student population. Since August 2012, I have taught various levels of Chemistry (standard, honors, and IB) and Physics. I run Student Government Association, am on the Student Assistance Program team, and help out with our school's Speech and Debate Team. I involved in the Junior Retreat Program and St. Mary's Scholars Program. I helped create a program for students with mild learning differences that transforms learning from inside the classroom to outside the classroom. I was awarded New Teacher of the Year in 2013. Panera Bread, a restaurant company, specializes in breads, bakery, coffee, and soups, salads and sandwiches. After completing training and being a member of the team, I was asked to become a manager two months later. I was in charge of counting product and ordering new product, opening and closing the store, customer interaction, and food product safety. Pittsburgh Allderdice High School is a part of the Pittsburgh Public School system and serves a very diverse student population. I was assigned to Allderdice as my year long internship for my Master's degree. As the year progressed, I took on more responsibility and teaching. By April, a teacher had taken medical leave and I finished teaching her students the curriculum for the remainder of the year.
