IB Business Management HL & Social Studies Teacher
-
Jul 2012 - Jul 2021
I oversee the Business Program at CMH, which includes International Baccalaureate Business Management (SL & HL) and an Intro to Business Course. The IB courses include a survey of organizational structures, human resources, finance & accounts, marketing and operations along with real-life analyses, business speakers, field trips, and the required Business Experience module. IB also requires each student to complete a business case study analysis (SL) or a business/industry analysis & evaluation (HL). The Intro course requires the completion of a four-week, start-up business plan.I also started the IB Psychology program at CMH in 2012 which takes a holistic approach to the study of psychology. The units we cover include: Biological level of analysis, Cognitive level of analysis, Sociocultural level of analysis, Sports Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. All students are required to complete the IB Internal Assessment which involves replicating a psychological experiment and reporting the results, discussion and evaluation in a report format.I also teach IB Geography and have taught Criminal Justice, Sociology, AP US Gov and Politics, and will be starting a History of Waukesha and Milwaukee class in the fall of 2020.
