· Function as a First Line Supervisor, Field Deputy, Field Training Officer, and Crisis Intervention Officer. Prepare reports and perform criminal and accident investigations. Enforces laws and ordinances, regulate traffic, control crowds, prevent crime, and arrest violators. · Overseas performance of personnel of 20 or more men and women. Review and approves written reports. Evaluates supervision and training needs. Handles disciplinary issues. Conducts internal investigations.· Supervises and evaluates law enforcement personnel in the performance of duties.· Mentor law enforcement personnel at all levels and provide constructive feedback that recognizes positive behavior and promotes individual improvement, growth, and confidence.· Provide management and technical oversight to law enforcement personnel and perform related supervisory functions with performance evaluations, administration of leave, discipline, training, awards, and recognition.· Interact with superiors to identify and resolve operational issues.· Responds to complex and emergency incidents. Serves as the Incident Commander. Uses sound judgement in emergencies and/or under extreme pressure.· Formulates operational plans and strategies to accomplish specific duties, assignments and/or objectives and to meet departmental or services needs and support the goals of the station, agency, unit, and/or community.· Ensures communication between patrol units assigned to the station and other stations and divisions within the agency.· Create a work environment in which law enforcement personnel at every level are valued and encouraged to raise issues and voice concerns without retaliation or fear of reprisal.· Coordinates daily schedule, assigns, distributes personnel and resources to meet daily plans.· Facilitates partnerships with communities to improve service delivery and attends community meetings to represent the agency.
