Part of my remit was to mentor the learners to prepare them for the workplace and ensure they were matched appropriately to the roles. I conducted health and safety assessments of the workplace location and ensured that all relevant quality and compliance paperwork was in place. I secured work experience for Level 1 Pre-Apprentices during their first six weeks, to ensure that they were able to make an informed decision about whether an Engineering Apprenticeship was the right choice for them.
