Effectively managed a global distributed operational team that provided infrastructure support services 24x7x365 for our business partners. Supervised a diversified team of international and domestic professionals consisting of four direct managers and 45 indirect technical professionals. Managed the support of these technology which consisted of SAN switches, Windows, UNIX, Blades and VMware servers, SAN, NAS, CAS storage arrays, tape and disk based backup devices. Provided technical oversight, direction, modification and ongoing maintenance of statement of works, lease agreements, enterprise license agreements, global maintenance contracts, service catalogs, and service/operational level agreements. Implemented large complex data center and remote office infrastructure projects, including technology consolidation, virtualization, refreshes and new technology installations. These projects executed life-cycle management of the existing assets by migrating the technology solutions over to the new infrastructure with little to no downtime, reducing overall space and energy in our data centers throughout the world. This effort took a large amount of planning and collaboration with our vendors, technology partners, application owners and business partners to successfully perform these migrations. Effectively managed the backup retention policies to adhere to the corporate data retention policy, which included daily, monthly, yearly backups, legal holds, and long-term data retention. Managed the infrastructure maintenance life-cycles of the hardware and software platforms to ensure vendor supportability, maintenance, increased functionality, and performance of the environments used by our customers. Managed budgets of $15 Million annually, identified cost savings opportunities which saved from $1-2 Million annually, and participated in and managed IT platform financial charge back models. Successfully installed new Data Domain backup devices and replaced tape. Show less

Maintained, monitored, and controlled ComputerVision's CADDS5X hardware and software components while providing system administrator duties. Wrote system and application software using C, shell scripts, User Programming Language (UPL), and CVMAC programs. Trained and supported engineers and drafters using CADD/CAM applications. Designed and implemented a new automated platform which reduced the customer oil field product life-cycle design from 44 days to 24 hours. Automated all of the engineering design processes that allowed different types of customer “what if“ scenarios based on business requirements. This allowed the customer to see what the different costs were related to the materials used to drill new oil fields. Different materials were used based on the different regional environments related to soil density. As part of the overall design of this application platform, leveraged a software package called ART-IM, ORACLE and ComputerVision's Parametric CADD package (CADDS5); all of these products were integrated together as one service delivery platform. Consistently managed the infrastructure maintenance life-cycles of the hardware and software platforms to ensure vendor supportability, maintenance, increased functionality, and performance of the environments used by our engineering teams. Maintained version control for the assembly and detail drawing that was used by manufacturing to machine the products. Effectively managed the backup retention policies, which included daily, monthly, yearly backups. All of these efforts met their business requirements. Show less
