      Anton Group was a £41m turnover print and direct marketing service provider. I joined the business as Purchasing & Stock Control Manager, reporting directly into the Production Director. My responsibilities were managing the purchasing of papers materials, including sheets, reels, wide format inkjet material and packaging. This encompassed a spend of circa £9m, and a volume of over 11,000 tonnes. Key Achievements & responsibilities: · Negotiated new net pricing agreement with suppliers, creating annual savings of circa 10% (£1m) · Consolidated supply chain for core products down from 8-10 to 4-5 achieving lower net pricing · Negotiated new packaging contract saving 5% on a £300k annual spend · Managed stock levels of circa 700 tonnes of material and reduced this down to an average of 480 · Introduced consignment stock arrangements with key suppliers to improve cash-flow · Drastically reduced monthly stock write-downs from £25-75k per month to an average of £2.5k · Extended credit terms with key suppliers, from 60 to 90 days, and from 45 days to 60 days to improve cash-flow · Managed all supplier relationships, including monthly supplier reviews, as well as annual pricing negotiations · Managed the sale of redundant paper stocks · Managing order patterns and daily purchase orders to ensure the correct stock was available at all times · Organising and managing the collection of waste paper material · Advising sales teams on appropriate products and pricing strategies · Corporate compliance reporting for key customers - e.g. Williams Lea, RR Donnelley, HH Global and Banner Managed Communications · Management Information analysis Show less
