Chaplain interns recieve new floor assignments at least twice a year and when a resident receives an assignment there is a pretty good chance that he/she is stepping onto a floor that was already ministered to by a fellow or preceding resident. I had the honor of recieving a floor assignment that was previously ministered to by Jeff. The rapport he had created with both patients and staff filled me with admiration of his pastoral skills. They would regularly tell me stories of his compasion and dedication to everyone on the floor. Any minister, whether it be chaplain or pastor would do well if she/he could pastor the way Jeff does.
