Apr 2000 - Present
As a Principal at Farallon I wear many hats. I spend a good deal of time managing technical project work with a focus on remedial investigations, feasibility studies, cleanup actions, litigation support, insurance claim evaluations, vapor intrusion evaluations, and especially enjoy my work on bioremediation projects. I am passionate about helping my clients navigate through the complexities of environmental issues they face and always do my best to efficiently and cost effectively resolve whatever issue they face.

Washington Operations Manager
-
Aug 2016 - May 2021
With Farallon's continued growth in Washington, Oregon, and California arose the need for establishing Regional Operations Managers. The Membership of the firm concurred that I was the right person to manage operations in Farallon's Washington offices. After nearly 5 years successfully working in this role, meeting revenue, culture, and process goals for our three Washington offices, we decided to look at term limits, and introduce the next generation of employee-owners to lead while those of us with the experience are still there to mentor them. In May 2021, I passed the baton of leadership in Washington and am now taking on a background role in the firm's strategic planning processes. My role now is to ensure the success of my successor and continue to support the evolution of Farallon using my 30+years of experience in environmental consulting to refine our processes and support the health and welfare of the firm. Then, in 2023, I look forward to moving on from Farallon to a new adventure where I can use my skills to help others outside the environmental consulting industry and look back fondly on the various paths a career in consulting had taken me.

Project Manager
-
Aug 1990 - Apr 2000
The firm started as Rittenhouse Zeman and Associates when I first joined the firm after moving to the Seattle area from Toledo, Ohio. The firm was subsequently purchased by AGRA Earth & Environmental, a Canadian firm and then AMEC in 2000 when I decided to leave the firm after 10 years. I enjoyed my time with the firm and made many good friends, gained a great deal of experience in environmental consulting, and met many clients who I still work with today at my present firm, Farallon Consulting, L.L.C.
