Started career in July 1996, as a laboratory assistant, supporting laboratory operations. I was promoted four times over my approximately nine years at Cellmark. Highlights of my time at Cellmark: - I was part of an assay development team creating a real time PCR assay for total genomic and male DNA quantification. This was published and I implemented it into forensic casework. - Provided expert testimony in trials in ten states and the District of Columbia - Completed the largest expedited case in the history of the company at that time. - Validated a Y-STR multiplex developed by the NY OCME, and became one of the early scientists trained in Y-STRs and providing courtroom testimony in Y-STR cases in the United States.
