      Scope of Position / Summary:Assist in daily functions of the Advanced Visualization Lab in the production of scientific visualization, video, audio, and multimedia programming for the staff, users, and national computational science community in a creative, timely and broadcast-quality manner in an advanced media environment. Key Responsibilities:• Coordinate and handle project inquiries from users and staff, and determine appropriate media and procedures for presentation of scientific research based on the needs of the researcher, animator and other members of the AVL team.• Serve as webmaster of the Advanced Visualization Lab and eDream, responsible for the creation and maintenance of respective websites, which includes graphic design, CSS, JavaScript, Flash animation, which may include programming duties as assigned. • Advanced scientific animation using both commercial and in house tools, including projects for museums, NASA and other AVL collaborators.• Serve as producer, director and/or operator to process media content. This means sometimes directing, coordinating, and working with co-workers on a variety of media projects. These jobs include computer graphic animation processing, computer and video graphic productions, video compositing and editing, videography, photography, script writing, video duplication, and other related tasks. • Operate a variety of advanced media systems for video production.• Provide demonstrations of content produced by AVL for public outreach• Oversee curation and conversion of NCSA’s visualization archive housed on physical media.
