  I worked with a small, highly collaborative Agile + Scrum team that was responsible for developing and maintaining several web applications and REST APIs using Angular 4, Typescript, JAX-RS/Jersey, Hibernate, and MS SQL. These applications were primarily used by Carmanah's manufacturing contractors to generate build and fulfillment orders. One of my key contributions was to integrate a new microservice with Sage ERP system which reduced order query latency by over 50%. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to take the lead on an application designed to consolidate all relevant build and fulfillment information for Carmanah's customer support team. This project required that I elicit requirements from project stakeholders and collaborate with customer support.



FillZ.com

  I developed, diagnosed, and maintained the ES5 Javascript repricing scripts for all FillZ customers. These scripts automatically manage the pricing for millions of items on Amazon, AbeBooks, eBay, and other marketplaces. I worked closely with the FillZ Customer Support team as well as directly with customers to gather requirements, design, develop and test scripts for hundreds of customers. In Jan 2016, my responsibilities expanded to also include communicating directly with customers. This position required me to be effective at self-managing and prioritizing tasks; especially as I was also a full-time university student at the time. Throughout my time with Fillz, I maintained a 95% customer satisfaction rating.

  Originally, I was hired as Geazone's first employee as a courier. At the time, they had only rudimentary delivery management and invoicing capabilities that required a lot of manual work. In the evenings and between deliveries, I taught myself to program using Flash, AS3, Flex, PHP, and MySQL. I chose these technologies because I had some high school experience using Flash and they also provided the capability to use a single technology to develop a cross-platform mobile, desktop, and web applications: which are exactly what I developed. The system included:- a desktop application for dispatch to manage deliveries, invoicing, and driver tracking- an online portal for clients to manage their deliveries and receive a digital proof of delivery in real time- an app for courier drivers to view deliveries in a list and on a map as well as enabling them to get digital proof-of-deliveryOnce implemented, customer satisfaction increased, driver cognitive load decreased, and invoicing errors were reduced by an order of magnitude. I continue to maintain the system and plan to continue maintaining the system until it is retired.
