My role involved a variety of research projects for the Chief Economist and his team. I was credited as a research assistant on a paper which looked at how the UK’s recovery post-Covid will be better than expected. Other projects included research on FTSE 250 companies for a new ESG fund proposal, analysing airline industry data, and analysing healthcare data. I enjoyed applying and expanding on the Economics learnt in my A level course in my assignments. I also improved my MS Excel skills and started using the Bloomberg terminal to extract data. Customer Service Ambassador. The role involved greeting and serving customers, stocking shelves, operating on tills, answering phones and resolving customers' issues. It required working long shifts consistently and ensuring customers left the store happy. I worked at Boots during the summer of my GCSE's and enjoyed getting a sense of the retail environment.
