During my time teaching at Leuphana University Ms. Vogt was assigned to assist me in developing a course that would have both residential and online components. This was rather difficult to do, especially as the German higher education system is significantly different from the American one and Leuphana, being particularly innovative, also can be a bit difficulty to navigate. Ms. Vogt was an absolutely outstanding colleague. She not only was a great help in facilitating the bureaucratic tasks she also demonstrated a excellent understanding of technology and a real sensitivity to the task of teaching. We managed to pull together a very nice course that used Leuphana's online LMS, but also video conferencing, online resources and the use of onsite technology enhanced classrooms. Despite the difference in time zones she always made herself available for video conferences to discuss the course. What was particularly impressive for me is that she also volunteered to act as a liaison to the students to insure that the bureaucratic needs, most notably those things that still had to be done using paper, were completed in a timely manner so students could graduate. I consider Ms. Vogt an outstanding colleague. I highly recommend her and hope to work with her again in the future.
