  • Supervision: Direct supervision of engineering staff for designing and installation of new manufacturing processes from tableting of fertilizer, continuous production of ant jelly, to coating grass seed and many other processes to manufacture products for pets, gardens and industrial pest control. Manufacturing sites were wholly owned plants as well as contract manufacturers located across the country. Responsible for product and chemical specification creation and standard operating procedures. Promoted staff development and project management skills. • Process Development: Using experimental design (DOE) developed new formulations and improved existing processes. Designed, acquired and worked closely with contractors to coordinate the installation of capital manufacturing systems. Commissioned new equipment and trained personnel to operate the manufacturing process. Patent pending for a novel method of manufacture of insecticidal feed additive for cattle. Collaborated across all departments within the organization to bring an idea from the laboratory to the production floor. • Quality Assurance: Completed several six sigma Green Belt projects for improvement of mixing processes as well as office processes realizing significant cost savings.
