      Prior to becoming the Statewide Recovery Support Coordinator, I served as a national subject matter expert for SAMHSA / CSAT ( the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Center for Substance Abuse Treatment) during its launch of the Presidential Initiative called 'Access to Recovery'. After Florida was awarded $21M through Access to Recovery funding, my role was to:Recruit and Enroll Community based & Faith Based Recovery Support Service ProgramsCoordinate training for Recovery Support Programs in 21 counties statewideCoordinate collaboration between Clinical Treatment Providers and all nonclinical Recovery Support Providers; program served over 12,000 people. Direct all Access To Recovery functions in four Central Florida counties.Recruit, interview and coordinate four Regional Transitional CoordinatorsRepresent Faith Based concerns in revising Florida state statutes on clinical treatment Advocate for Faith Based Social Services statewide and nationally In two years we served 12,000 Florida clients through this innovative program that established an extended continuum of care which offered a range of clinical and nontraditional services to support long term recovery. .
