In 2008-2009 Jeanine and her incredible staff at Angel Flight Soars, Inc. worked diligently to help my son Tristan secure airfare to Cincinnati for multiple surgeries. Since that time Jeanine, the staff at Angel Flight Soars and I became very close. I am forever grateful for their compassion and caring for others. Angel Flight Soars is not a job for Jeanine, it is a passion that comes straight from the heart. I will be forever grateful, Bill Anastasio

In order to be an effective leader of a non-profit organization, an executive director must be able to motivate others through their words and actions, be able to make significant contributions to the community with often limited resources, and be able to truly make a difference in the quality of the lives of individuals who are in need. By this measure, Jeanine Chambers stands out and is truly among the best. Jeanine is the Executive Director of Angel Flight Soars. Her work for Angel Flight exemplifies what it takes to be a leader. Angel Flight is an organization of volunteer pilots who donate their time and resources to fly people to medical care that is not available in their local area. In many cases, this medical care is a last resort for life-saving treatment. Jeanine's passion for helping others in need is infectious. Since Jeanine has been the Executive Director of Angel Flight, the organization has reached new heights. For example, the number of missions has soared from 272 to thousands each year. Angel Flight also has more than 800 volunteer pilots today, four times the number in 1999. Earth Angels -- the on-the-ground volunteers -- have increased eightfold to around 400. Of course, this was done in no small part because of Jeanine's personal efforts. Not only was she able to increase the demand for those medical services through outreach to the health care community, but was able to increase the supply of these life-saving services by outreach to the donor/volunteer community. Jeanine gives so much of herself and has truly made our community a better place to live.
