  Our mission is to alleviate poverty and to improve financial wellbeing of the mid-low income group, especially in Southeast Asia. We do this through providing them with tools, infrastructures, and micro-services to help the mid-low income group monetise one of the most widely available skills in Southeast Asia - Culinary skills. We don't only focus on improving their income level, but at the back end, we track their business metrices online and offline, personal financial status, automating savings and banking which ultimately grants them access to financial services like loans, insurance, and etc to improve their financial wellbeing.   I got myself into this Borneo-based architectural design firm for its expertise in sustainable residential design. In a Borneon setting, culture and environment influence plays a big role. As opposed to big commercialized developments firm; middle-size firm puts more focus on user-centric small projects. I execute a few refurbishment projects as leader of a 3 person team, including a traditional shop lot by Kuching riverfront (a tourist hot-spot), and a huge residential compound in Sibu. Job scope involves - client management (actively participate in meetings under supervision) - design concept (adaptation of existing historical elements) - design execution (working drawings, presentations) - site work (measurement) - contractor management (site condition analysis) - sourcing of materials - construction costing Show less

  I requested an unofficial internship placement in Taiwan to practice with the studio's expertise in invasive social architecture and cultural installations. It was a short but fruitful term learning about the concept of creating spaces out of abandoned areas to eliminate void areas - for better social surveillance.
