Company description: Company specialized in Electric Motorcycle and EV powertrain development. Engineering office responsible of design and development of integrality of vehicle (body design, powertrain, homologation, etc…) Objective: Create an urban motorcycle to respond at best to public request. The principal criteria were: light, agility, satisfying autonomy and accessible price. In parallel we were in constant research of new technology to optimize the driving and the powertrain. Realizations/ Activities: • Designing of E-trek model (chassis: deformation study in analytic and numerical method, esthetic: plastic design in thermoforming, Prototype: assembly and test) • Improvement of powertrain system regarding the battery pack (Cells, BMS, Integration), Motor BLDC (Mechanic design, reliability) • Research of potential partners and suppliers, first contact and support of relations • Following of parts from designing to production by suppliers • Integration of quality control for parts and motorcycle • Optimization of parts by customers feedback and anticipation of potentials defects • Intervention on powertrain system (battery, motor, inverter) requesting training. • Optimization of parts cost by suppliers comparison, shared parts and negotiation • Development of product directly with partners to improve it • Intervention on production line to increase rate • Intervention on repairing defect products linked to the powertrain Results: • Reduction of parts cost • Improvement of product by increasing quality of the parts used • Detection of defect in upstream and optimization of reliability Show less

Company description : Company specialized in design and production of injection system for motorcycle and ATV. Project in partnership with Clement Ader institute (Research laboratory specialized in mechanic, linked to the INSA Toulouse). Synerject company propose a study around a defect product (ATV injection body). The product blocked during use provoking constant acceleration even when the driver release the throttle. This blockade happened only during use, at rest the component had no problem. Society acquired by Continental in 2015. Objective: Identify the phenomenon responsible of the force applied on the butterfly provoking the uncontrolled acceleration of the body. Realizations/ Activities: Mechanic study of the complete system: • Study of butterfly shaft’s deformation • Verification of component’s scaling in metrology • Procedure of scaling verification for future Dynamic study of system: • Creation of complete model of the constraint during use • Numerical simulation of injection body during use (deformation and fluid mechanic) Results: The mechanic study allowed to create the equation of the constraints in action and so explained the phenomenon of blockade. The dynamic study brought the linked between the constraint created by the motor aspiration and the force applied on the butterfly and so the effort needed to unlocked the injection body. This system permit for the future to design the injection body taking in count the fluid mechanic phenomenon acting on the part. Show less
