Jeanette is an amazing and determined leader, who is supportive and knows how to bring out the best in people! She is professional and works every hour for what she believes in. I was lucky to have her as my superior!

Looking after the Challenge events at Raystede and also doing Community Fundraising. Aim is to raise lots of money for this fantastic organisation and help provide better welfare to animals and give them the respect they deserve! Managing challenge events. Working out the budget and expenditure to achieve a yearly target. Finding lots of different events that will encourage supporters to sign up and fundraise. Working out the registration fee and fundraising targets and focusing on repeat participants as well as attracting new ones. Marketing events and using social media to advertise them and producing communications to keep supporters updated and engaged on the lead up to and after the event. Also encouraging people to get their own place in events and fundraise for us. Organising the Fundraiser of the Year event to celebrate our fundraisers successes, as well as lots of different challenge events and community events. This year we organised the first ever charity kayak event down the River Medway! Using the database to capture supporter's information, making sure we adhere to the current GDPR rules. Attending challenge and community events to make supporters feel well supported. Working out all the logistics, producing risk assessments and liaising with volunteers to help make events a huge success. As part of the role, talks are given about Raystede to a wide range of local community groups and we also give tours around the site. I organise a lot of off-site collections, getting the relevant permission needed. I also make sure that there's enough people to do the collections with me. Support is also given to my team when it's needed. Show less

I look after a variety of Sports and Challenge events for Guide Dogs, ensuring that supporter's have a fantastic journey from start to finish. We produce their welcome packs, build strong relationships by having frequent telephone conversations with them and are creative in terms of content for social media and communications going out. We use Microsoft Office, and we constantly look at improving supporter experience to ensure that we retain their support We attend the Sports and Challenge events, managing volunteers and have headed up cheer points, as well as helping at the post race receptions. I do additional fundraising outside of my role at Guide Dogs, by participating in various sports and challenge events myself. I've also organised a sponsored dog walk for Guide Dogs, where I was responsible for working out the logistics, marketing the whole event, fundraising and contacting the press. Show less
