As a trainee Jean assisted me during the pre-opening of Thon Hotel EU. Was a real asset to have him with me during this period and I could rely on Jean for any specific topics I gave to him. Took initiative and after his traineeship I hired him as Duty Supervisor/Manager. In this position he was in charge during the evenings and was always able to find an instant solution for any challenge popping up. Although it was a shame he left the hotel I was happy he stayed on board at that time within our group with a transfer to the cluster revenue management team. I highly recommend Jean due to his eagerness and dedication and would not hesitate hiring him again.

      Worked my way up into a cluster department of 2 seniors a 3 junior revenue analysis reporting to a Revenue manager and the GM’s of the 5 hotels and 2 residences with a total capacity of 1500 rooms on the Brussels Market spread over different micro-places (EU-district, Centrum, Airport). This professional experience provided me all the basic revenue knowledge and made it possible for me to understand the complexity of the complete Brussels Market.My duties inside the cluster were very various and distinct. Main duty was implementing a daily strategy for the 5 Hotel properties together with the Junior analysts. I was responsible for training them in the complexity of the different tools and loading procedure in the Chanel manager (Evolution).Dealing with the daily quotations and training the other members of the department on the different displacement calculations of the different micro-places.Preparing the budgets and forecast together with my colleague senior Analyst and reported them to the revenue manager so he could set up the meeting with the GM’s and use them into a higher level towards the different operational departments of the hotels.Created different tools, in Excel via VBA, to use the different reports (PMS, Comp-set shopper, productivity management interface, PMI) into reliable reports to discuss with the GM’s on a daily/weekly and monthly meeting.Specialized into E-distribution for all properties Simplified the existing set-up towards a more clear and preforming setup and connection to the PMS. Setting up the PMS and the channel manager to the different distribution channels.       During the pre-opening of the Hotel I assisted the Manager. Both we worked closely on this project of 405 rooms, located in the European district of Brussels. During that period I was responsible of assisting the weekly meeting of the construction. Organized the implementation of the Vingcard (door security system) into the hotel. Next to this I met all possible providers for the furniture. Going from the base equipment for the rooms to organizing the merchandizing and operational material for all departments (Cutlery, furniture, room equipment…). In the last months before the opening (April 2012) I trained several departments on safety level within the building. Also worked close with the FO-manager in training the staff in terms of using the PMS systems. And created Ddifferent SOP within different departments in various fields.Once the hotel open I supervised all operations during the evening shifts. From the HSK-department till the F&B-department. This in order to secure that the standards of this four star hotel was secured. At last I measured the guest satisfaction within the hotel with as aim to remain in the top 20 hotels of Brussels.
