      Job description for cancer center directorJe Ho Lee, MD, PhDAs a cancer center director, I made up multidisciplinary medical team of each organ cancer. I also made basic investment to establish mandatory infrastructure for cancer care of cutting-edge. In addition, I have asked each of the medical teams to develop standard care protocols and necessary guidelines and basically follow them. And all the medical team made a tumor board to have a planning conference about patient care, so that the optimal treatment plan was set up to make the best treatment for the patients. In addition to surgery and anticancer chemotherapy, patients also have integrated support care that enables mental, nutritional, and rehabilitative treatment while they are treated for their cancer.In addition to the standard clinical guidelines, I encouraged faculty members of each care team to develop a lot of clinical trial options with new drugs for the patients with cancer, so that as many clinical trial options as possible are available. We also planned basic translational research to help faculty members develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic molecules. I also encouraged each team to create and implement a basic research plan applying cancer genome science that could be applied to new cancer diagnosis and treatment.And we are building a medical informatics team that can analyze clinical and genomic data well, and we are building up a big data center program that supports informatics’ team as well as clinical practices. And we are working with them to bring in data experts who can help us diagnose and treat cancer in a personalized way. .We have also published newsletters for good communication between doctors, nurses, paramedics, and administration team inside the cancer center. This newsletter will also help referral clinicians and patient communities catch up what is happening in the cancer center. It is also expected to raise public awareness and brand value of cancer center in the
