I had the pleasure of working with John for most of 2019. I joined a big organization where John had been working for some time. I met John at a large planning session where I knew very few people and even less about how work got done in this new space. My new manager introduced me to John and we were off and running. After our initial introduction at that planning session John and I met on a regular basis so that he could share context on the organization and the work with me. Over the course of the year we also had the opportunity to work together in an official capacity on various projects. In these settings I was able to observe John put his knowledge and skills to work to drive positive outcomes for the team. John's ability to understand technical challenges, interpret for a varied audience and lead problem solving discussions were first rate. I saw John lead effectively in places where he did not have direct authority. Beyond the value John brought to the team and company he is simply a good human being. John has a commanding but not overbearing presence that comes from a place of experience and confidence layered on top of empathy and kindness. I truly enjoyed working with John this past year and highly recommend him as a project leader.

John Is a multi-talented leader. While working for John he demonstrates his ability of understanding his employees needs. Johns management style differs as he is not reactive but proactive. He proactively meets with team to identifying and assessing all potential risks. Then developing plans to prevent and address out of scope concerns. When I assumed a new role, I worked alongside John and saw where he really shines. Applying his Agile / SCRUM Master experience. He has the ability of building upon the input of the team and SME’s to leverage other resources and influencing others to meet the objectives so that we meet the deliverables and timelines. John is humble and easy going, which is a rare combination and leads by example!
