Direct and manage daily operations for Network Infrastructure for 35 offices throughout the Americas serving 2200 users. • Responsible for the Wide Area Network design and migration from an IPSec VPN based network to MPLS and Satellite via three providers. • Responsible for the redesign of all Local Area Networks to support Voice, Video and Unified Communications. • Evaluated, Recommended and Implemented WAN optimisation at $500k capex, to support the organisations Active Directory, Server Consolidation and Email Centralisation projects. This solution reduced the total network bandwidth requirement by just over 50% realising a cost saving of $250k per year. • Implemented IP Telephony at $875k capex, for 35 offices. Reduced the cost of the organisations international voice calls by $120k per year by routing inter office calls over the Wide Area Network. • Redesigned and configured various elements of the Washington DC Datacentre inline with best practices. Designed and implemented additional network infrastructure for a new Virtual Environment for Virtual Desktop applications.
