Having Jayney as a coach was wonderful. She is energetic, social and has great communication. Her coaching always goes beyond simply telling you what to do and into why or when you want to know even more she always seems to have resources on hand to look over which suited my development perfectly.

Jayne was a well organised and thorough Executive Assistant. Jayne is accommodating, very efficient and professional. Jayne will be successful in anything she puts her mind to. Jayne was a pleasure to work with and I wish her every success.

Rubicon 3 is a small, local company that offer sailing training trips. I worked remotely from home communicating with colleagues and partners, via video, phone or email and met with the CEO periodically. I worked directly with the CEO to deliver inbound marketing campaigns. I produced a variety of content including, blogs, articles, photographs and videos. I was responsible for posting online content for several websites, writing marketing literature and proof reading content. I worked alongside partners to ensure that SEO’s were being hit and that content was targeted for the right audiences.

I enjoyed working at LSI. I made a lot of friends and was supported by my colleagues. I was supported in my career development in a variety of ways. There were excellent teacher development workshops, I was mentored by a senior teacher, who helped me improve my classroom skills and rapport with the students. I was given the time to get comfortable with my teaching without pressure to move on to other areas too quickly. Whilst working at LSI I improved in the following areas: Teaching English to lower levels A2 - B2 Writing effective materials for lower levels Building rapport with students Using technology in the classroom

I was assigned to a Primary School in Brighton where I am supporting a ten year old girl with Cerebral Palsy. She is my main responsibility in this role. I have also done similar work in other primary schools in Brighton. I assisted her with: • moving around the school, • note taking where appropriate, • explaining and clarifying teacher’s instructions, • motivating and encouraging her to do daily exercises, • ensuring that she is able to use equipment and materials, • assisting in weaker areas such as numeracy, • liaising with the parents, teachers, inclusion leader and other staff members regarding the pupils IEP When the pupil I worked with did not need one to one support I supported the other pupils in the class. I assisted another pupil whose second language is English. I have been involved in the following: • assesment of language level • helping to understand instructions (simplifying, using gestures and pictures) • Help with reading during DEAR time and guided reading sessions and ensuring he is reading the correct level • Providing encouragement Meeting the pupil’s needs whilst encouraging independence is one of the most important aspects of my role and when the pupil is capable of working independently I do general teaching assisting in the classroom with the other children, assisting with implementing the agreed behaviour management strategies, playground supervision and dealing with behaviour and emotional issues.

I was offered a voluntary position as a teaching assistant at a private language school. I found this gave me an excellent chance to see how all the methodologies and theories worked in the “real world” of teaching English. I was able to understand what the Common European Framework levels meant in real terms; therefore I had a grasp of what students were capable of and not capable of. I assisted teachers in the classes, such as writing on the board, speaking with students, supervising exams. I was often asked to prepare materials and on occasion I taught lessons.

National Cash Advance is a small and up and coming business in the financial sector. I provided assistance as required to all the directors in the office including the Managing Director. An extremely demanding role that requires, patience, the ability to multi-task, prioritize work load. Although the job has required many skills that I have previously used, I also had the opportunity to learn and develop. Due to internal structural changes, my role changed where I worked exclusively for the Director of Operations and the Director of Human Resources, during the last six months of working for National Cash Advance I was heavily involved in recruitment.
