I was a Senior HR Manager for this international company focussing on businesses within the European Region. I built strong relationships at Regional and Corporate level as well as the Senior Management team. I have learnt that HR is a team sport which requires working together to succeed. I spent time providing HR expertise to Senior Manager for the project start-up phase of the UK’s most integrated logistics hub; a state-of-the-art deep-sea port and rail terminal on the same site as an expansive land bank for the flexible and fast development of logistics facilities and warehouses. As part of the regional strategy to create growth I developed and implemented a resource strategy for a newly acquired business and created a diverse team to support the success of the business as well as embedding a performance culture. I believe in empowering Managers to manage their employees fairly and consistently so I always provide strategic advice to Manager and employees through recruitment and retention, contract design, reward strategies, learning and development, performance management and employment law always focussing on providing a high quality customer services. I implemented a self service HR system for all staff within the European Region to improve efficiencies, streamline administrative operations and digitise nearly all of the paperwork.
