  The Release Planning Manager (RPM) is responsible for planning, co-ordinating and managing the acceptance of all additions, extensions, enhancements and fixes into Figaro quarterly releases and associated patches to minimise cross change conflicts and ensure the content and impact of the Release does not undermine the integrity of Figaro.The RPM will also be responsible for planning, scheduling and accepting the delivery of projects, small changes and fixes, from Solutions Development into the appropriate System Integration Test phase of a Figaro Release or a designated patch for a Release. The RPM is responsible for the identification of risks and issues, liaising across Product, Client Services, Solutions Delivery or Technology as appropriate, together with the Test Teams to assess the impact on a release of the delivery of a change / fix and devising mitigating actions to reduce the overall risk profile of the release / patch and ensuring that these mitigations are implemented. The RPM will make decisions, and / or facilitate the approval process, to confirm which projects, changes, fixes are included in a Release / patch based on the internal and external prioritisations and commitments, and known risks. The RPM is responsible for the effective working of a Release Governance Board and associated approval processes. This includes the collation, dissemination and management of issues including the provision of appropriate information to the Release Board to enable informed decisions to be made.The RPM is accountable for the effective communication to all interested parties on the content of a Release or patch.
