Jayne recruited me as an Education Manager whilst in her role as Director at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre. We worked together for 18 months and it was a pleasure to work alongside her. Jaynes strengths are her aspirational ideas and determination. She successfully secured much needed funding of over £754,000 through the Inspiring Science Fund. Giving Catalyst a budget of over a million pounds to renovate our spaces and rethink our role within the community, once match funding is achieved. Her innovative ideas to explore the relationship between science centres and wellbeing led her to achieve such success. Her legacy will be felt by many visitors to our science centre for years to come.

I had the pleasure of working with Jayne at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre on the Inspiring Science Fund project. Jayne is experienced, knowledgable, personable and practical, making her both an excellent manager and consultant. I was always particularly impressed at Jayne's ability to work with diverse stakeholders - from CEOs to small community-led groups as well as her dedication to supporting access and inclusion.

Very proud to have been invited to join the Board of Governors at Riverside College. A rare example of "Outstanding" FE provision which meets challenges head on and has an enviable track record of transforming people’s lives through education. Looking forward to supporting the excellent management team and using my experience to add value wherever possible. "We are a college which strives to be outstanding in everything we do. This ethos is reflected in our successes which include 100% pass rates in A level and vocational courses, our excellent Ofsted report, league table positions, our Matrix Excellence Award for student support, and our excellent partnerships with global employers". Their response to the Covid-19 pandemic has been "textbook" and support for students and staff second to none. www.riverside.ac.uk Show less

Wide range of leadership, management and successful bid writing experience with a track record of on-time-on-target-on-quality delivery. Passionate about people, teams and building relationships. I'm interested in interim and short-term project opportunities, particularly those where I can make a difference. Instigated the rejuvenation of Catlayst Science Discovery Centre and Museum; responsible for securing the Inspiring Science Fund grant (amongst others) and implementing the £1.1m refurbishment of Catalyst's infrastructure and community engagement project. Building relationships with key stakeholders in the region was particularly rewarding, especially Halton Borough Council, Liverpool John Moores University, MIND and local employers. Responsible for the strategic, financial and operational management: "preserving the past" through the museum and archives of our rich industrial heritage and "inspiring the future" through school, family and group visits. *http://www.catalyst.org.uk/ Show less

The Technical Apprenticeship Service (http://www.the-tas.com/home) was established with co-funding from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills in 2012. It is a unique, easy to use skills service for employers, training providers and apprentices, designed to bring new talent and skills into the industry. As part of the Cogent Sector Skills Council group we operate in the Chemical, Life Sciences, Nuclear, Petroleum, Pharmaceutical, Polymer and Sign Making industries. I have been responsible for securing the funding, contract management and all aspects of operation of TAS from recruitment, budgetary control and employer engagement. I am a member of the Cogent Sector Skills Council Directorate and we are supporting sector employers on their proposal to establish a Science Industry Partnership; www.scienceindustrypartnership.com Show less
