Lucinda Lewis
Jayne recruited me as an Education Manager whilst in her role as Director at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre. We worked together for 18 months and it was a pleasure to work alongside her. Jaynes strengths are her aspirational ideas and determination. She successfully secured much needed funding of over £754,000 through the Inspiring Science Fund. Giving Catalyst a budget of over a million pounds to renovate our spaces and rethink our role within the community, once match funding is achieved. Her innovative ideas to explore the relationship between science centres and wellbeing led her to achieve such success. Her legacy will be felt by many visitors to our science centre for years to come.

Instigated the rejuvenation of Catlayst Science Discovery Centre and Museum; responsible for securing the Inspiring Science Fund grant (amongst others) and implementing the £1.1m refurbishment of Catalyst's infrastructure and community engagement project. Building relationships with key stakeholders in the region was particularly rewarding, especially Halton Borough Council, Liverpool John Moores University, MIND and local employers. It is a unique, easy to use skills service for employers, training providers and apprentices, designed to bring new talent and skills into the industry. As part of the Cogent Sector Skills Council group we operate in the Chemical, Life Sciences, Nuclear, Petroleum, Pharmaceutical, Polymer and Sign Making industries. I have been responsible for securing the funding, contract management and all aspects of operation of TAS from recruitment, budgetary control and employer engagement.
