I undertook a challenging 10-week project that involved developing a remaining drive range algorithm for Dynamics power wheelchairs. This project aimed to improve the accuracy of predicting the remaining range of power wheelchairs, which was a critical requirement for users' safety and peace of mind. To achieve this, I implemented a piecewise linear model that accounted for the non-linear state of charge (SoC) behaviour of lead-acid batteries. Through rigorous testing and validation, I was able to achieve an impressive result of less than 10% error in predicting the remaining range of the wheelchairs. This role refined the way I solve engineering problems and making me more valuable and capable Engineer. Show less

As a Research and Development Engineer, I collaborated with a team of four experienced mechanical and mechatronics engineers to develop innovative solutions for the remanufacture of single-use medical devices. This role was instrumental in honing my ability to work effectively within a team of professionals to solve complex problems. I gained valuable experience in project management, research and development, and the regulatory framework governing medical device remanufacturing. I am confident that my experience in this role has made me a competent engineer capable of tackling complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions in any team-oriented environment. Show less
