After the job opportunity was suggested to me through managers, I applied for the role and went through the interview process. I now have responsibility of managing a sales team, delegating and insuring tasks are completed and insuring correct procedures and paperwork is completed; my role has now further developed to include responsibilities in stock ordering and placement as well as visual merchandising elements.
