Solving and taking ownership of outages, liaising with manufacturers (Cisco, Juniper), PTT's or local field support where needed. Cisco IOS configuration and Juniper JUNOS baseline checking; scripts to check whether all configuration was matching standards and providing all exceptions. Scheduling and assisting with planned works as IOS upgrades, new card installations, cabling etc. Actively support, at all times company policy, and best practice in the area of security.; Monitoring, operating and troubleshooting the largest MPLS network of the world. Operate in line with the ISO 9000 family of standards, ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) and BT defined standards.
