• Updated Over Pressure Protection System (OPPS) code so that a Digester unit trips when a respective Blow Off Tank (BOT) level becomes high or when the associated BO pump trips. This was done to mitigate BO stack emissions. • Optimized BOR Cusum settings by simulation of FIR cusum control in Microsoft Excel to find the optimal trigger limits for bias update. This led to tighter BOR control, optimizing yield. • Implemented Dynamic Alarm Suppression (DAS) in the Clarification department reducing Clarification Alarms by 50%. • Employed ISA 18.2 Alarm Management standards to reduce the alarms in Digestion from >10 alarms/ 10 mins to <5 alarms/10 mins. • Improve plantwide APC Utilisation to >95%. • Improve plantwide CPM scores >87.5% leading to the site maintaining the highest CPM scores across all Quasar sites globally. • Responsible for automation of plant processes. • Provides the support required to optimize a high and consistent level of production throughout the plant by providing process control data to customers in a timely, useful manner. • Implementing Advanced Process Control Applications on the DCS. • Isolate, detect, mitigate, and correct process control application problems. • Primary responsibility for CL code configuration, loop configuration, Advanced Regulatory and RMPCT applications. • Manage and coordinate interactions with other resources required for solving process control problems. • Tuning applications and related control loops for optimum performance. • Generating documentation for new applications.
