Part of the Server Software Engineering team that builds the key Ad Server and the related downstream components. Handled performance requirements, design review, code profiling, test script creation with Jmeter (coding with Java, BeanShell, Groovy), test execution, identify performance issue and provide recommendations to fix the issue. Performance tuning and benchmark of the Demand Side Platform (DSP) handling 60000 advertisement bid requests per second over http protocol with fewer than 200 ms latency. Handled the benchmarking of the core Ad Serving components and caching layers. Ensured continuous integration validating the performance SLAs after feature changes. Handled the design and benchmarking of a demand filter layer to filter requests that match the inventory available. Achieved 16000 TPS with 20ms latency with a single instance of the application. Performance benchmarking of the ETL and reporting processes running on Big Data – Hadoop MR, Hive, HDFS, Spark to generate the performance summary of the Advertisement Campaigns, compute user metrics and device metrics for the bid requests and impressions/clicks. Played a key role in the development of a product agnostic solution to achieve GDPR compliance handling various data sources like MySQL, Snowflake, Hive. Carried out PoC to handle removal of user data embedded in Hive data and processing Tera-Bytes of data without any impact to the usual ETL and reporting layer. Show less
