  • Repair and Maintenance of Hull of ships and Surface Preparation and Preservation. • Heavy Structural Repairing and Fabrication of Door, Hatch,Mushroom, Bollard etc. on Ships. • Use of TIG Welding Machine, Electric Arc Welding Machine, Hand Drill Machine, Hand Grinder, Blower, Flame cutter etc. • Material Approval as per Specification. • Order all necessary materials and components required to meet daily production schedule. • Reviewing and approval of Workshop Drawings. • Applying and getting approvals of NOC and Work Permits required, from authorities of Cochin Shipyard and Indian Navy. • Having regular meeting with Client and Sub-Contractors for smooth running of the Project. • Visual Inspection of Completed Weld Joints. • Issue work directions to assigned fabrication group at assigned locations in shipyard workshop and arranges housekeeping and cleaning of work area and the equipment. • Ensure safe working condition for the workers and the work. Ensure Fire Blanketing, Masks, Fire extinguishers and protective clothing to ensure safety. Maintains respect and discipline in the work area. Show less
