Develop an annual HR action plan for the unit in line with the overall business and corporate HR strategy. • Discuss manpower requirements vis-à-vis business plans with line managers & unit head, seek details and justifications, provide inputs to help fine-tune the requirements and prepare manpower budget for inclusion in the overall annual budget of the Company. • Establish unit specific selection processes for timely and cost-effective recruitment of right personnel as per recruitment plan & in accordance to recruitment & manpower budgets. • Generate and implement resourceful means to source candidates directly as far as possible, thus ensuring better control over costs and quality. Aim towards minimum lead-time in the process from vacancy identification to actual recruitment. • Implement and manage a plan for new employee induction and orientation at all levels at the unit and subsequent follow-up on progress of new recruits in their jobs through the induction & probation period. • Facilitate the performance management process at the line level, drive appraisal process for its successful conclusion each year, review & report outcomes to corporate HR for further analysis & decisions in training, reward & performance management area. • Handle staff grievances & disciplinary issues and provide appropriate guidance to line managers for efficient & satisfactory resolution of the same in line with HR policies procedures. • Implement HR policies & procedures and advise line managers on procedures, precedents & interpretation of policies to ensure its application in a fair & equitable manner. Collate unit level experience and contribute to further refining & development of HR policies & procedures. • Maintain suitable documentations & updated information on all unit level HR initiatives & activities.
