I directed six functional managers, assessed business performance, evaluated training needs, and built processes to improve productivity and efficiency of our manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics operations. Due to an extremely toxic culture (received an email from a sales manager that told me I was focusing too much on quality and safety and should focus more on just 'shipping $hit') and an enabled bully leader (was told by a rebellious HR rep that the General Manager is an awful person but will be retiring 'soon,' so until then everyone would just have to deal with the GM calling people stupid and incompetent) this was the worst day to day 18 months of my career, but also the most valuable from a career growth and learning standpoint. Highlights and accomplishments in this role include: • I led an engaged team to execute a production schedule that saw simultaneous record new equipment volume, 200% growth in aftermarket sales, and unprecedented disruption in labor markets and supply chains. • I built a team of high caliber talent to develop an operation with 60+ unique hourly personnel, two factories, and 100+ suppliers / 3PL partners. I've since helped said high caliber talent escape and find jobs elsewhere, places where talent is appreciated. • I added staff and experienced zero negative turnover during the ‘Great Resignation’ of 2022. • I learned the how much psychological harm and workplace trauma is created by a complete absence of quality leadership and integrity. • I oversaw initial stages of planning for a brand-new factory that will double capacity. • I dedicated myself to creating emotionally safe, collaborative environments for the rest of my career.
