- Undertake technical design work and design checking for projects in accordance with the Company System, as appropriate to the organization of each particular project, to meet project specific time and quality targets. - Undertake independent studies and analysis; preparing recommendations and conclusion for formal reviews of the clients. - Works towards the continuous improvement of the department section by utilizing effective and standardized calculation systems and other design tools. - Provide direction, supervision and mentoring to more junior staff. Responsible in design and analysis of building structure using the advance engineering software ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD, Tekla TEDDS, FORTE, etc to withstand applied forces such as earthquake, wind and human use. Ensure that every structural elements was designed in accordance with the following standard code requirements: Uniform Building Code UBC International Building Code IBC American Society of Civil Engineers ASCE American Concrete Institute ACI American Institute of Steel Construction AISC National Design Specification (NDS) for Wood Construction American Iron and Steel Institute AISI National Structural Code of the Philippines NSCP Responsible in preparing structural specifications, design criteria/design brief, technical estimate and in developing the most appropriate structural framing and foundation systems that best satisfy the function of the Development. Responsible in technical coordination with Clients, Architects, Project Managements and other Engineering trades during design stage and with General Contractors during construction period. Conduct site inspection to ensure that the Structural Plan for Construction is being implemented on site. Responsible in preparing due-diligence report concerning to life safety requirement of an existing building and recommends retrofitting procedure to ensure its structural integrity and that the building is sound and safe throughout of its operation.
