Raymon (Ray) DeVaughn
LtCol Jay Jones served as Commander 460 Space Wing Operations Squadron while I was working as a GS-worker in his squadron. Being I had responsibility of several programs, I reported directly to him on their status. Although his position, as commander, was a big picture position, I have great respect for how thoroughly he understood all the little things in his charge and how well he directed and led each of us in our mission. He is a very easy going and patient person who also had the wonderful capacity to be stern and direct when needed. Because he was such a controlled and understanding commander I was regularly inspired by him and his leadership style. LtCol Jones was a complete pleasure to work under and I hope to have that opportunity again in the future.
