    • Student Teacher
      • Jan 2020 - May 2020

As a student teacher at Upper Merion, I had the opportunity to teach two sections of 12th Grade English CP. The variation in the content that I taught offered me experience with differentiating lessons and meeting students’ individual needs. In this position, I taught two courses (five classes) for seven weeks, before transitioning to digital teaching due to the school closure for COVID-19. I taught a unit on Oedipus Rex and one on satire before the school closure, and then two separate book club units digitally for the remainder of my student teaching experience. While this experience as been unconventional, it taught me how to react in unexpected school closures and how to properly be accessible to the students regardless of the closure. Show less
