I work in various capacities on each project ranging from AutoCAD 3D designs to drainage to writing the actual specifications using Microsoft Word. All permitting for each project is my responsibility as well for each project. I also work very closely with our Realty and Planning departments to ensure that all work will be performed as needed and all applicable laws are followed while working on the properties. In addition to working on my own designs, I also work closely with our surveying department to ensure that any survey work needed for each project is completed in a timely fashion and that they do no need any information from me as the Project Manager. I also review plans and specifications for any project that is submitted by a consultant. I am responsible for any dialogue with the consultant as well for each project I am assigned.

In addition to my research, I was responsible for assisting in training of the industry's professionals needing to be certified for the West Virginia Blaster's License. The first goal was to ensure that those involved understood the purpose of the seismograph installations and that their needs were being met. This was especially important for the Companies utilizing our services. The data that was collected was recorded and analyzed to ensure that all regulations were being followed and that all data was within compliance of the State and Federal Regulations for blasting within a mining permit. This position was an inspection position for construction of roadways and highway paving. My role was to ensure that all specifications and plans were being followed and that compliance of the contractors was present. It was my duty to alert those above me if something was out of compliance so that it could be remedied in a timely manner.
