I help with tech support for Faculty across the University of Utah. Team Lead Manager
-
Feb 2019 - Jan 2022
Worked at one of the busiest Chick-Fil-A Restaurants in the state of Utah as a Team Leader, which is essentially an Assistant Manager. I would lead shifts of up to 30 people, including making setups, running breaks, dealing with demanding customers, and solving problems as they arrive. I also learned every position well, including the back of the house, and was often required to jump between positions whenever there was a problem. Outside of the business side, I ensured that I knew every employee I was working with, which could mean anything from simply saying hi and introducing myself, to coming up with fun discussions that included everybody, as long as they didn't distract from their work. Doing this helped me give feedback, and ensured that everybody felt comfortable during their shift despite the stressful workplace. After the shift was done, I was responsible for counting up profit, closing the store, and ensuring everything was stocked up for the morning shift. Outside of each shift, I was responsible for attending a meeting every couple of weeks in which we were tasked with improving the store, solving bigger problems, and finding ways to improve individually.
