"Passion overflowing; driven by curiosity; and most comfortable in front of an audience", this is how I would describe Javier. I've had the absolute pleasure of teaching Javier statistics and data analytics during the Data Analytics course, as part of the International Business Master at Maastricht university; and I've also had the privilege of managing him as a management consultant when he was part of my project team during our research project for the Facility Services of Maastricht University. I've gotten to know him quite well over this time, and can honestly say that he is one of the most passionate people I've met. At all times he was involved in at least a handful of projects and endeavors; all close to his heart. He never failed to help a peer or a colleague when they needed it. His relentless curiosity saw me staying overtime after almost every meeting we had to answer all of his questions. He would not leave a topic behind until he fully understood it, and was confident he extracted every bit of knowledge I might have had on the subject. His positivity, charm, and charisma saw him naturally fall into a supportive project leader assistant role without me even having to ask. His passion is infectious and effortlessly drives any team to higher goals and achievements. If you want to truly see him shine you should put him in front of an audience and watch in awe as a full room of executives cling to his every word. His smile and laugh will light up any room, and turn the mood brighter. I vouch for Javier in all his future endeavors. Any team or event will be lucky to have him, and will be feel inspired after listening to him talk.

I had the opportunity to instruct a course on Management Information Systems to a group of 25 Bachelor of Business Engineering students, which were divided into two groups. Due to external factors, we were required to quickly redesign the entire course within a week. I was not only responsible for teaching the course, but also proactively assisted with the redesign and implementation of the revised curriculum. Our team's ability to adapt and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment was essential to the success of the course. I also played a role in grading the final exams for the course. Show less

As a team member of the “Go The Extra Mile” project, we develop a marketing strategy by creating content for Social Media within a private group for those students that have been conditionally accepted in Masters programmes. We aim at optimising the transformation rate from conditionally accepted students (who are still considering other options), to formally enrolled students. Working as a Student Ambassador for the Law Faculty I had the chance to assist all upcoming students by solving every and all questions or doubts they might have; as well as encouraging many potential student to finally decide for this faculty. It taught the the great effects that enthusiasm, energy and frankly listening to others have on customer acquisition.

I was brought in for a Management Consultancy project requested by one of the most important service centers of Maastricht University: Facility Services. The aim of the project was to help them understand what their focus should be for the future from a customer-centric perspective. Together with the team, we managed to exceed expectations in a very short timeframe. The project bore fruits very quickly, by February 2022 the Management Team of Facility Services already used our input for arranging the future plan, and asked us to get involved in order to give our opinions on their final plan and fine-tune it. While exercising as Interim Marketing Manager, we created the new Marketing Strategy for The MaastrichtMBA. On my day-to-day tasks I worked with CapsuleCRM, Wordpress with HTML Code, WUFOO, Zoom and within Diamedia Minds environment. We introduced a new MBA specialization on Digital Business. This is a challenge on a Marketing point of view since we needed to market a complete new module among students which already had many options in different institutions with this already incorporated. A part of this, we as well created Corporate Engagement brochures in order to get different companies further involved in our program. Show less

Finding and bringing, on a weekly basis, entrepreneurs across Europe to come and talk in Maastricht. At the same time as creating and organising two Start-Up trips per year to international hubs. All together with general event management. Working as a team, we created a close inspiration-driven community of which to this day, we are all part. As coordinator, I had to assure together with my team, that all organisational and substantial matters of the week were successfully fulfilled. We introduced a new module on entrepreneurship in which I was in charge of designing and implementing. This week ranked as the best since the incorporation of the program in 2013. Unlike most of MBAs that are offered by one Business School, the EuroMBA is offered by six. Among all their courses, the students have six mandatory residential weeks in five different countries tackling different topics. In this week, it was Learning in Organisations. Show less

There we advocated, in front of the high representatives of those countries, for the importance that the voice of the youth should have in order to shape the future. This was a shared event with people of other 51 nationalities where we discussed the current state of affairs among the ASEM partners. At the same time, we were in contact with the Ambassadors and Foreign Ministers of the 51 countries that participated in the ASEM FMM13. Show less

As my second job, it taught me about hard work and discipline in the working sphere. This gave me an opportunity to apply and improve my social skills by interacting with customers and trying to make the best of their night; as well as keeping up with my work as a waiter.
